Contact

Contact me to discuss outsourced bookkeeping support for your business, organisation or accountancy practice. Whether you need help bringing existing records under control or want dependable ongoing bookkeeping, I’ll first take the time to understand how your business operates and what work is actually required.

The quickest way to get started is to book a slot directly in my diary. Alternatively, new enquiries can be submitted through my enquiry form, which gives me the information I need to review your accounting software, transaction activity, VAT position and reporting requirements before we discuss the right service.

New bookkeeping enquiries

Bookkeeping requirements vary considerably between businesses. A company using one bank account and issuing a small number of invoices needs a different service from a business operating through several payment platforms, employing staff or managing VAT Returns.

My enquiry form asks for enough information to begin assessing the work without you having to explain everything in a lengthy initial email. Once I’ve reviewed the details, I can talk you through the condition of your records, the bookkeeping you need and the most suitable next step.

You can use the form to enquire about regular bookkeeping, Xero or QuickBooks support, VAT bookkeeping, payroll support, historical catch-up work or outsourced bookkeeping for clients of an accountancy practice.

Written communication is often the most useful way to send bookkeeping queries, since it lets me review documents, transaction details and relevant background information carefully. Where a conversation would be more practical, just book a time that suits you.

What to include in your enquiry

You don’t need to prepare a detailed financial report before contacting me. A brief explanation of your business, the accounting software you use and the main problem you want to solve is enough to begin.

It’s helpful to mention whether your records are currently up to date, roughly how many bank or payment accounts you use, whether the business is VAT registered and whether you need regular bookkeeping or help with accumulated work.

Please don’t send passwords, complete bank details or other highly sensitive access information through an ordinary email. We can agree secure access and document sharing arrangements once we’ve discussed what the service needs to cover.

Bookkeeping support for UK businesses

I provide outsourced bookkeeping support for UK small businesses, organisations and accountancy practices. I scope the work according to the activity and complexity of your individual file rather than assuming every business needs the same service.

If you’re looking for regular support, you can read more about my small business bookkeeping services. If you’re already using cloud accounting software, take a look at my Xero bookkeeping services and QuickBooks bookkeeping services.

For an explanation of how monthly bookkeeping can be structured, see what’s included within a fixed fee bookkeeping service.

What happens after you contact me

I’ll review your enquiry so I understand the work involved and can identify anything I still need to know. Where the service looks like a good fit, the next step is normally a conversation about your records, current software, deadlines and ongoing reporting needs.

No bookkeeping work or software access begins until we’ve agreed the scope, responsibilities and commercial arrangements. That way we both understand what will be completed, what information needs to be provided and what sits outside the regular service.
